Bare Wood House requires 50% down payment on ALL orders. The remainder is due at the time or delivery or pickup.
There is a $30.00 charge for any returned check.
Bare Wood House orders its furniture from other manufactures. The vast majority of special orders are timely; however we are occasionally notified of a delay or the discontinuation of an item several weeks into an order. If this should happen and the new due date is not acceptable to you, and the manufacturer allows us to cancel, then you can cancel the order and your deposit will be cheerfully refunded. If we are required to accept delivery then you, the customer, are also required to accept the delivery. As a general rule special orders can take anywhere from 30 days to 16 weeks to arrive. These matters are in the hands of the manufacturer and beyond our control, so please bear with us. We are willing to estimate the time it will take for a product to arrive by calling the manufacturer and checking their availability but if a product takes longer than the estimate, and occasionally it does, you are required to take the delivery unless we can cancel. In the case that the item is discontinued we will be happy to help you find another item or refund your deposit.

Our showroom located at Main Street Shoppes in Aurora, OH has a large selection of immediately available furniture. We have items from each of our manufacturers on the sales floor, so if the item you wish to purchase is not in stock, you can still see the quality of manufacturing and construction offered before placing an order.

ORDERS

If we don't have exactly the piece of furniture you are looking for in stock, you can place an order with us from the vast selection our manufacturers have available. An order will generally take from 2 to 6 weeks to arrive at our store, depending where we are in that manufacturer's order cycle.

You may also place an order over the telephone with a valid credit card if you wish.

DELIVERY SERVICE

We provide an in-house delivery service within a 50 mile radius of Finksburg.
Our shipping charges are:

05 mile radius: $30.00
10 mile radius: $45.00
15 mile radius: $65.00
Over 15 miles: $ 3.00 per mile. Please call for a delivery quote.

DELIVERY POLICY

Prior to delivery, please have the area cleared where your new furniture is to be placed.
Set-up of furniture is not included. We will place the item(s) in the room you would like. However if you need the items set-up (wall units, beds etc.) there will be a $30.00 per hour charge with a $15.00 min. Our delivery personnel are unable to touch any electronics.
Please notify your salesperson if your new furniture needs to be carried up or down stairs. Furniture will only be brought up or down stairs if there is a notation on your receipt.
Be sure to measure the clearance where the piece will be placed and any path required getting it there. Be extra cautious of narrow stair wells and narrow hallways with sharp turns. Delivery personnel will make every reasonable effort to get the piece where you need it. However, they are not permitted to disassemble your home or the furniture beyond reason to make it fit. (Remember, special order, custom built, custom finished and final sale items are not returnable.
Delivery personnel are prohibited from re-locating your existing furniture or household items.
Prior to delivery please have ALL paths cleared of snow and ice (driveway, sidewalk, stairs, porch etc.) Bare Wood House drivers are not responsible for clearing any of these areas. If the furniture can not be delivered safely it will be returned to Bare Wood House and another delivery time will be scheduled. A second delivery charge will apply.
Bare Wood House will notify you 48 hours prior to your scheduled delivery date to confirm your approximate delivery time, usually a 30 min. window.
Bare Wood House assumes no liability for inadequate delivery access.
If you are not home during the specified delivery time a second delivery charge will apply when we reschedule

CUSTOMER PICK-UPS

Pick-up hours: Monday - Thursday 10am - 6pm, Friday 10am - 7:30pm, Saturday 10am - 6pm
Customers choosing to pick-up their purchase are responsible for providing any needed padding and supplies necessary to secure their load.
We do not assume any liability for picked-up merchandise once it has left our facility, other than warranty issues.
Storage fees will be added to this invoice if merchandise has not been picked up or delivered within thirty days after notification of arrival of goods.

RETURN POLICY

Most items purchased at Bare Wood House are returnable for a refund so long as:

The item was in stock at the time of purchase
You have your sales receipt
The item is in the same condition as it was when it was purchased
No more than 10 days has elapsed from the date of purchase.

The following are non-refundable:

Special orders.
Custom finishing.
Modified pieces (such as cutting shelves or drilling holes)
“Red Tag” or Clearance items.
Delivery or set-up charges.

Please note that if an item was purchased by cash or check, a refund check will be mailed within 7-14 days. All returns are subject to management approval. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to ask your salesperson.

Hand finished furniture is furniture that is hand stained in the color, colors or technique of your choice.

We sincerely want our customers to be happy with their hand finished furniture, and the majority of our customers are very satisfied with our hand finishing. However, to avoid any misunderstandings we want you to be aware of the realities of hand finishing.

Color Choices…. This is the most important step to obtaining a successful outcome. We display our stain colors on many different woods since the natural color of the wood affects the finished color. There are many variables that affect the finished color. Some of these variables are, wood conditions (dryness), the grain and natural color of the wood, the finisher’s personal style of finishing. These variables will only affect the color by about ¼ of a shade one way or another. They will not change the color completely. The sample blocks are on a small piece of wood; please keep the size of the piece of furniture in mind when you choose a color. We do have sample blocks that you can sign out and take home to look at.

Painted Furniture…. Bare Wood House uses two types of paints. One is a paint stain. This means they are not thick like regular paint and are not designed to give a complete coverage. The grain and color of the wood can and will show especially the knots and darker grains. We also have milk paints. If you are interested in a solid painted look this is the product you need to choose. We will prime underneath the milk paints and topcoat them. Please be aware that knots and darker grains may still bleed through the light colored paints.

Faux Finishing…. Bare Wood House is happy to do the Faux finishes that are very popular today, but there are a few things that you need to understand if we are doing one of these for you. These styles are very personal, and it is hard for us to completely know what you have in mind. For example the amount of distressing, the amount and size of the cracks in a crackle finish, the veins in a marble finish, the amount of sponging, etc. are very personal. We will be happy to talk with you and explain some of the difference and translate your wants to the finisher, but please understand that you are leaving the artistic impression up to our finishers.

Due Dates….. Our finishing shop runs on a very tight schedule and we do everything in our power to have your furniture ready by the due date. However, we are a small family business and there are times when outside forces cause us to get off schedule. We will try to keep you updated on the status of your order, but please feel free to call us anytime to get an update. As a result of this tight schedule we need you to have your color picked out by the time our finishers are ready to start. That gives you about two weeks from the time you place the order to make your decision. If the color has not been decided when the finishers pull your order to start the staining process your order will be placed at the bottom of the list. Thus adding about 8 weeks to your original due date.

Bare Wood House will do everything within its power to create the look you desire, but please understand we have certain limitations.

Hand finished furniture is non-returnable.
